Making a Commitment with
Making Connections
The commitment to improve the well being of Hartford’s
vulnerable children and families is shared by each of Making
Connections in Hartford's partners. Collectively, our
partners provide a wide range of resources and support
services to help residents find their own unique pathways
toward increased family stability and success. For some this
may mean the pursuit of educational opportunities. For
others it may be finding family-sustaining work, saving for
emergencies or for a car or house or pursuing opportunities
to become part of a positive social network. The four
primary pathways to better results that our partners offer
are:
Career Services
Opportunities that help residents onto
the pathway toward family sustaining work and earnings.
Money Management
Opportunities for families to
protect,
save and grow the money that they earn.
Early Childhood Education
Neighborhood-based and
family-centered opportunities to help
ensure that young
children are healthy and prepared to succeed in school.
Resident Leadership Services
Leadership training
opportunities for residents who want to have their voices
heard when decisions are being made that affect them, their
families and neighborhoods |
